Vietnam - Cambodia

Day 1 - Ho Chi Minh
  • Check in hotel
  • Book Cu Chi Tunnel + Cao Dai Temple tour
  • Book bus to Phnom Penh (Delta Adventure Tours www.deltaadventuretours.com)
  • Reunification Palace
    Reunification Palace
    There's a free guided tour provided. It's something like a museum now.
  • Quan An Ngon (Opposite Reunification Palace) for food
    Quan An Ngon
    Quan An Ngon has an interesting marche-like concept. The chendol is great! But the rest of the food is not really that fantastic. Worth a visit though.

  • War Remnants Museum *Guilottine in War Remnants Museum
    War Remnants Museum is a must-go for people who wish to know more about Vietnam war. Not for the faint-hearted due to disturbing photos and exhibits. The above is a guilottine used to execute Vietnamese during the war.
  • Notre Dame Cathedral Notre Dame Cathedral
    French style cathedral. One of the more beautiful buildings.
  • Post Office Post Office
    French colonial style post office. Next to the Notre Dame Cathedral.
  • Ben Thanh Market (Optional til 5pm)
  • Night Market (5pm onwards)

Day 2 - Ho Chi Minh

    Caodaism is an interesting religion in Vietnam which combines Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity and other religions into one.
  • Cu Chi Tunnels *Cu Chi Tunnels
    Cu Chi Tunnel is THE reason to go Ho Chi Minh. Can't help but be amazed by the intricate design and the small size of the tunnels.

Day 3 - Ho Chi Minh/Phnom Penh

  • Check out hotel (8am bus)
  • Travel to Phnom Penh To Phnom Penh
    On the way to Phnom Penh, our bus actually got on board to a liner to cross the river. A lot motor vehicles also went on board. Now, this is something you don't see everyday.

Day 4 - Phnom Penh

  • Choeung Ek Killing Fields *
    • Opening hours: 7am to 5pm
    • Entrance fee: US$2The Killing FieldsIt looks like just an ordinary shrine from far but if you look closely it actually has hundreds of skulls inside. The skulls belong to the victims that were killed in the killing fields during Pol Pot's regime.
  • Tuol Sleng Museum *
    • Opening hours: 7.30-11am; 2-5pm
    • Entrance fee: US$2
    • 1 hr documentary (10am or 3pm)Tuol Sleng MuseumOn the outside it looks just like an old school. In fact it used to be a school. But it was converted to a jail and a torture place during Pol Pot's regime.

Day 5 - Phnom Penh/Siem Reap

    • Closed from 11am to 2pm
    • Camera fee – US$2Royal Palace Can only view the exterior and cannot go in to a lot of places. The Silver Pagoda is just next-door.
  • Silver Pagoda
    • Closed from 11am to 2pm
    Silver Pagoda is named only because the interior tiles are all made of real silver. No photos to be taken inside though.

  • Wat Phnom (optional)
  • Central Market
  • Check in hotel (Two Dragons Guest House; Jasmine Lodge; Ivy Guesthouse II; Golden Temple Villa)

Day 6 - Siem Reap
